About Boars Club
Professional pig management rooted in respect
The Story
Feral pigs damage forest ecology and pollute waterways and reefs. They destroy agricultural crops and damage landscapes. They have no predator on the islands, and traditional hunting alone cannot address the scale of the problem.
Boars Club was founded to offer a professional alternative — one that combines some of the most effective modern trapping technology with deep respect for the pig.
Boars Club grew out of the work of Rob Cruz, co-founder of the Kaua‘i Food Forest. Building regenerative agroforestry is entangled with keeping pig damage at bay; the services we now provide are an evolution of that work — turning ecosystem problems into solutions.
This path lets us protect the land and help our community while feeding our families and friends.
*Wild meat is illegal to sell unless inspected and processed according to Hawai‘i law.

Our Philosophy
Mālama ʻĀina
The Hawaiian concept of mālama ʻāina means to care for and nurture the land. Feral pig management is an essential part of protecting Kauai’s native ecosystems and supporting local agriculture.
Honor the Animal
When we take a pig, we use everything. The meat feeds families. The bones make broth. Nothing is wasted. This practice honors the animal and connects us to traditional foodways that respected the full cycle of life.
